This policy explains what data Dynamic Video Player ("the App") and this website handle and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.
If you enter your email address in a "notify me" or waitlist form on this site, we store your email address, your choice to join the list, which of our websites you submitted it on, whether you indicated interest in the free or Pro tier, and the time you signed up. We use it for one thing: to email you when the App is available. Joining the list does not create a license or an account. We do not sell or rent this list.
To stop list mail, use the leave-the-list link in any list email (it opens this site's /unsubscribe/ page), or write to the address below.
Each time the App starts it sends our license service the key(s) you entered and a device identifier — a one-way hash derived from your machine, not your name, and not reversible to personal information. For a paid license we keep the device information needed to keep that license on one computer, and a "last seen" time. We keep the state of each license (active, cancelled, ended).
Card details go to our payment processor, not to us. We receive your email address, what you bought and its status, and we store your email address and keys so we can deliver them and let you recover them.
When you request a free download we keep your email address and a coarse network address, to enforce the one-per-email and monthly limits.
If you use "email my keys," we briefly log the email address and requesting network address to prevent abuse (rate limiting). These logs are periodically deleted.
If you send a crash report, bug report or feature request from within the App, we receive the text you type plus your app version and operating system. The App's log is not attached unless you choose to attach it; the log can contain names of files on your computer. Do not include sensitive personal information in reports.
If you create a share link, the layout (cell arrangement and the media URLs it points at) is stored on our server under a random id, with a creation time and a one-hour expiry. It is not linked to your email, licence key, or device. After an hour it expires and is deleted.
Your videos and your library stay on your computer. We never receive or host them. We do not collect your files, filenames (except in a log you choose to send), browsing, or the media you play.
The App stores settings, your keys, ratings, tags, playlists, boards, and your policy-acceptance record in your user application-data folder. You can delete these at any time.
This website does not run its own analytics. The website host may set a small number of cookies needed to serve the pages.
The App and this website are not for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
When the version above changes, the App will ask you to review and accept the current Privacy Policy before continuing.
